Our Proven, Transparent Process

Our ability to deliver successful projects is rooted in our detail-oriented process. With our knowledge and experience, we evaluate your project holistically and provide a value-engineered solution to safely deliver. Every project is different, so we begin by understanding your vision and objectives.

Once we have a thorough understanding, we create a tailored strategic plan, timeline and budget. At every step of the way, you know where things stand. No secrecy, just straight-up, honest communication. Every time. That’s the STEELE Guarantee.

  • Step 1

    Introductory, No Obligation Meeting

We begin with an initial informal, no-obligation meeting. Clients have the opportunity to meet with Steele Inc. and ask questions about how we operate and manage projects. Steele uses this opportunity to explain: Project Design; Budget; Pre-Construction Costs; Contract; Permitting Requirements; Hiring and Subtrade Expectations; Payment Plan; Schedule; Insurance; and, Client Responsibilities. Our goal is to ensure you have a solid understanding of how we operate.

  • Step 2

    Create Initial Budget

After gaining an understanding of the project, we create an initial budget. We also recommend the involvement of a designer or architect if you don’t already have one. Since all projects can have limitations in terms of space, budget, and design choices, it is our experience that the money spent on a qualified designer/architect is essential. We have valued relationships in this area and can introduce you to our people we trust.

  • Step 3

    Kick-Off Meeting

A second client meeting is held to review the initial budget, which provides the with client a reasonable estimate and understanding of the cost and scope of their project. During this meeting, we collaborate and brainstorm ideas about potential cost saving ideas and review project details.

  • Step 4

    Set Budget & Schedule

Once the budget is accepted, a contract is finalized and signed, a deposit paid, and a start date is determined.

  • Step 5

    Assign Tasks

Tasks are then assigned; and generally, there will be tasks for the client as well.

  • Step 6

    Construction Begins

Construction begins and as it progresses, any project changes are identified, discussed, and actioned using documented change orders. Proactive communications and updates ensure you know the status of your project every step of the way.

  • Step 7

    Site Visits

Throughout the course of the project, client site visits are encouraged on at least a weekly basis. Any potential delays to schedule or scope changes are identified and discussed with clients.

  • Step 8

    Final Walk Through

Once construction is complete, a final walk through occurs with clients and/or architect/designer, and any deficiencies are identified and actioned.

  • Step 9

    Sign-Off & Warranty

Upon completion of deficiencies, client sign-off occurs and warranty period begins.
